The following interview is part of Memoirs of a Virtuous Woman's Our Virtues Series, that highlights women of influence in the body of Christ. This story from Danielle Williams McCord, gives hope in
the midst of darkness. Being introduced to stripping, prostitution, and the porn industry as a teenager, her story allows you to know and remember that God Almighty is always waiting on you to turn towards him. Be encouraged by her story of incredible strength of grace and self-worth.

Briefly tell readers about yourself?

I am a ton of things. I've lived a full life before the age of 30 and I don't think God is nearly done with me yet.

As a young girl, you faced traumatizing events, one of which was molestation. There may be someone facing molestation or has in the past but is keeping silent. What would you tell them?

I would say to someone who is or has been molested to SAY SOMETHING AND TELL SOMEONE. I made the mistake of keeping it a secret out of fear and unknowingly that thing turned into a monster called anger and bitterness which fueled my fire and influenced certain behavior. So please I repeat please let it out and tell someone, anyone; and know that it was not your fault.

In your book "From Porn to the Pulpit" you also share as part of your story a time when you were beaten by your father, raped by a neighbor, and introduced to stripping. How have these moments of your life impacted other women that you have spoken to throughout the years?

My experiences have definitely influenced and impacted other women because there's something about my story that unleashes their pain that has been hidden for years. I have chosen to put my life, my flaws, my pain, and my past on the front line to help other women be free.

What was your turning point to give your life to Christ?

I didn't get saved in a church. No Pastor put oil on my forehead and laid hands on me. I got saved in a dark dirty basement. I knew my life was coming to an end, but before I could fully give up on myself and let that man kill me, I had an ounce of strength to pray. I prayed like I never prayed before and I said Lord if you get me out of this I'll change my life for you just don't let me die. God heard my prayer and I'm alive to tell the story today.

Tell us about your ministry "A New You Ministries"

A New You Ministries is based on the scripture 2 COR 5:17 which is not only my favorite scripture, but it's a testament of my story. If any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things have passed away behold all things are made new. What better scripture to have on your heart as a constant reminder that no matter what I used to do or who I used to be. I'm a new person in Christ my old mess no longer defines me.

Many think being a Christian is full of sunshine after giving their life to Christ, allowing them to want to give up.  How have you handled trials since giving your life to Christ?

Being a Christian is not easy at all Jesus Lord have mercy! It's not easy but it's worth it. The world didn't give me anything, but shame and embarrassment, trials and tribulations. When I was in that basement I made a vow to God and I plan to live up to that for the rest of my life even when the road gets rough.

What would you tell the young women reading this that may not know her worth and searches for it in all the wrong places?

For every woman who looks for love in the wrong places will still never be fulfilled. No man can fill your void unless his name is Jesus. You don't have to compromise who you were made to be just for a man, attention, or money. You're so much more than that.

This young lady is encouraging to all women that have felt as though they are at their end. Introducing Torrie Chatman, the latest interview for Memoirs of a Virtuous Woman's series, "Our Virtues." Torrie is the founder of Beloved, a women's ministry based in Birmingham, Ala. Lift your head up and be encouraged by Torrie's story of courage  and strength on her journey in Christ.

Tell readers about your briefly about your background.

I am every bit of a statistic that you can think of. I was born to a 17 year old girl her senior year of high school. She had an academic scholarship to college but couldn’t go because she got pregnant. For about a year between the ages of 8-9, I was molested by an aunt’s boyfriend. I got married for the first time when I was 18. He started hitting months before we got married and I said “I do” anyway. The hitting is not what made me leave him; him bringing his girlfriend to our home did. went on to enroll in the best school in the nation: the University of Alabama (ROLL TIDE!). A couple of years later, I met a guy (It’s always a guy right?) , fell in love and got married again. Fifteen months into the marriage, I found out that my husband was cheating on me and not with women. I stayed & tried to work it out but the infidelity happened again.

There are very few things that I haven’t walked through and it’s easy to talk about what has happened to me and not the stuff I happened to. It isn’t always someone else’s fault! I was manipulative, a liar, a thief, I would dumb myself down to make others feel better around me. I spoke death over people with my words. I clubbed, drank, and used men like doorknobs to make myself feel good about me. I was a lost & bruised soul. Then I met Jesus and my life was never the same again.
When did you began to truly walk the narrow path for Christ?

experienced two very defining moments in my walk with Christ. I didn’t grow up in church. We went sparingly went during my childhood. Honestly, my family really didn’t start going until it came out that I had been molested but then church passed away after a while. I gave my life to Christ in my car alone in July 2006 while listening to the song “Imagine Me” by Kirk Franklin. Two weeks later, I got baptized. I was in my junior year of college and lived very legalistically for the first few months, in the dos and don’ts of Christianity so I fell off quickly. A year later, I joined a bible teaching church that taught me about relationship, worship and the love of Christ. I knew him as my Savior that first couple of months but didn’t truly know Him as my Lord. At Daystar Family Church is where I truly got my foundation and started my walk with the Lord
The second defining moment was when I started my ministry Beloved. I knew that I was going to lead women & profess Christ that I had to make some changes. I wasn’t living a sinful life but the path had gotten narrower. Things that were ok previously or I figured that “God knew my heart” was no longer acceptable. Lives that God had entrusted me with to speak over and sow into were at stake. I knew that I couldn’t take the responsibility lightly and  I didn’t want to.
Tell us about your organization Beloved. As an southern Alabama young lady myself, on a mission to encourage women. Its great to see others here doing the same thing.

Beloved began in my living room on November 20, 2011I didn’t have a name for the first month. I actually called it Girl Talk that first meeting. I sent out an Evite after I finally gave in to the leading of the Holy Spirit about my call with women. We didn’t have a set agenda. The plan was for everyone to bring a dish and we have open discussion about the things that were really going on in our lives. I remember telling God “If I’m going to do this, it has to be real.” For the first 30 minutes or so after we ate, we all gathered in the living room talking about surface, safe things then one woman took off her mask. She told us that she had been dealing with thoughts of suicide. Her transparency opened up the flood gates for everyone in the room to get whatever they had been dealing with off their chests. We started at 7 pm and the last woman left at 1:30 am. When I closed the door after everyone left, I knew that this was my purpose.
I picked the name Beloved because it means prized, cherished, adored, and precious. It’s often a word used by a husband to describe his wife. So since we are His bride, we are all His beloved! Beloved is a safe haven for hurt and spiritually hurt women. The flow of our meeting is worship, speakers (1-2), prayer and open discussion. It gets real during open discussion but it’s totally safe and confidential. What happens at Beloved stays at Beloved. It’s come as you are and we have a strict policy that no one cries alone. Our goal is to establish a safe environment so that women can have an authentic experience with God alongside of our sisters. No matter how much we may fight, bicker, etc, women need women! The ages of our women are 18 and up. I love how on one side of the room, there could be a college student, newlywed, or single mom and on the other side is a grandmother, entrepreneur or author. Women from all different backgrounds and walks of life attend.
Besides our monthly meetings, we have online bible studies, social outings and community service. Also, we have a webisode series titled the I Am series that has reached thousands all over the world. Everything about the ministry is on our website.
What have you learned the most since being in the body of Christ?
I’ve learned the most that God is truly for us. He’s my hero and the lover of my soul. I’m amazed that His arm was long enough to reach in the depths of the earth to save a wretch like me.

Why do you think so many women feel alone in their struggles?

Our generation & the ones before us grew up being taught “Don’t tell anyone your business. What happens in the house stays in this house”, etc. Inadvertently, we have been told to always present ourselves as if everything is going fine and that your life is together. No one ever said that it was ok to not be ok until recently. People in our generation, all over the world are standing in their truth, good, bad and the oh so ugly but it’s still a struggle because it’s was ingrained in us to cover it upWhen we are open about our struggles, it allows someone else to know that they aren’t alone. Satan has a way of making us feel like we are the only one going through whatever and the way to handle it is to cover it up with makeup, clothes, a fake smile & a prompt “ I’m blessed and highly favored!” when you are asked how we are doingIf we allow him to kill our voices, steal our identities and destroy our focus, we will never reach our full potential.
What do you think are the biggest issues plaguing our young women today?

I looked at several things that plague our young women today: views on beauty (size, complexion, hair), relationship/status/ money driven, compromising our standards, etc. I think it mostly boils down to a self-esteem issue. Us not truly knowing who we are in Christ and in return, we are allowing this world to tell us who we are & whether we’ve “arrived”.  I truly think that self-esteem is at an all-time low because of social media.
If you could tell a young lady that feels no hope, or is in the same shoes you once were, one thing, what would it be?
Love…. It won’t always be like this. The beautiful thing about seasons is that even they HAVE to change. Whether someone pushed you in this pit or your own decisions got you here, know that you need to learn the lesson being taught. Don’t stop moving your feet when the pain gets unbearable. In it says “though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death…”; don’t allow the lesson to permanently paralyze you. Cry, pray, scream, read you bible and apply it to your life and keep going. You’ll eventually come out on the other side with more resilience and courage. You will need it! Someday, someone will need you to tell them the same thing.

Introducing Terri Saffold, as part of Memoirs of a Virtuous Woman's series "Our Virtues" that highlights young women making a difference in the world around them through Christ. Better known as Terri Vee, Terri is an amazing gospel rapper, with a passion for winning souls to to Christ. She
began transitioning into gospel in 2009 after being a secular artist. Since then, there's been  no looking back to please the world.

Tell readers briefly about your background?

My real name is Terri Vonjeanna Saffold. I was born May 17, 1990 in Tampa Florida at home on the couch with my umbilical cord wrapped around my neck... Yeah, I know. The enemy tried to kill my young... BUT GOD! I'm the baby of 9 and I'm probably the most gifted one lol. My musical career started young. My mom put me in the youth choir at our local church and soon after that I was singing everywhere I could.

Was becoming a Christian rapper what you always desired? Or did you have an itch to branch onto the secular scene?

I NEVER thought I'll be a Christian Rapper.... At age six I discovered my gifting in rap and writing my own music. It was never anything negative until age 16. At age 19 I gave my life to Christ and I kind of put an end to rap. I grew up under a strict ministry so I felt like Christian Rap would have been inappropriate so my main focus was my singing career! Until one day I was on a fast and the Lord gave me a rap verse to write. I was shocked! I shared it with my sister and she told me that it was awesome. She shared with me other gospel rap artist and I was floored. I was floored because I never knew gospel rap existed. So from then on... I made up my mind that I wouldn't allow my gift to die. Whew! It's crazy how fast God elevated me since!

When did you accept Christ in your life? How has your life changed since then?

My mom was dying from cancer in 2009 so that pushed me to rededicate my life to God. I have no regrets on what happened in my past, I believe my past made me strong, smart, and saved! I experienced so much at such a young age but Im yet grateful because God gave me a powerful testimony. As of today I am living for Jesus and I strive daily to be more like Christ. I will be a liar if I tell you that EVERYTHING is perfect because it's not but this walk has taught me that although I'm not perfect I serve a perfect God that per-fects EVERYTHING concerning me!

Some people have a negative outlook on Christian rap. Why do you think so? Why is it positive?

I believe people have a negative outlook on Christian Rap because they really haven't learned how to LIVE yet. Some people are seriously bond to religion and honestly that's who I was. I was that person that got save and felt as though Christian Rap was not of God simply because of the ministry that I was under. I never really tried to get an understanding of it for MYSELF until the Lord gave me a powerful verse that has changed many lives! I mean let's get real... how can it NOT be of God?? Christian rappers give out a positive message... We share our testimony, we rap about LIFE, we share scriptures, we give clarity, and it also edify's not just the body of Christ but unbelievers as well.
"Respect my bars/
I'm not rapping about "stealing cars or cigars"/
I'm leading souls to CHRIST I'm not leading them behind bars/
I'm a good example I am something like "BIZARRE" /
Not tryna be a star but for Christ Ima go far!/

Many young women are dealing with insecurities. What would you tell someone that's filled with doubt and doesn't believe in their dreams?

Well, here's a few bars I wrote to encourage myself! So as you read this just DECLARE it over YOUR life!

"I promise Ima get it I promise that ima live it/
I won't stop til I fulfill it, I promise that I'm the realest/
Dream chasing... Won't take my dreams to the grave/
I can do all that I want cause I am no longer a slave/
Im no longer a babe I put away my childish ways/
Nomore should ofs, could ofs, would ofs I aint got time to play/
So, Ima do my thing cause I got CHRIST  on my team/
Ima do it with no shame ima fulfill ALL my dreams/
I'm chasing all my dreams no matter how crazy it seems/
I got my FULL trust in God and I'm crushing satan schemes/
If nobody believe in me "I BELIEVE IN ME"/
And that's really all I need to keep going and to succeed/
So ima take the lead even if I gotta blead/
Even if I gotta cry, gotta sweat, gotta scream/
Ima fall down on my knees and ima pray until I get it/
I promise ima live it I won't stop til I fulfil it!/

What do you think is the biggest thing plaguing  young ladies today?

The biggest thing that's tormenting us is ourselves. We are our biggest enemy...! I believe once we get delivered from "self" we'll be able to fully walk into our God ordained destinies! We give ourselves the hardest time... Life is so awesome man if only we just learn to "live" we'll start to understand our true purpose!

Where can readers find your music and connect with you?

Google me lol. No but seriously! Google "Terri Vee" and everything that you need to know will pop up. Also please go to your app store on your phone and download "Bangin Gospel" app. That's an app my manager created. You'll be able to hear the latest music as well as some good ole preaching!

Stay encouraged ladies!
She's what I aspire to be-An award-winning journalist! More importantly she's a woman of God influencing women with her organization, "The King's Daughters." She's also not afraid of the truth with her webshow, "The Positive Controversy." I'm excited to introduce to you Kristen Pope, a woman I believe is a great mentor for our generation of women. This is her story of patience, persistence, and self-worth.

Tell readers about your background.

I'm a Midwest born and bred girl! By six years old, I lived in Indiana, Ohio and Illinois. Nope, not a military kid. My Dad's job moved us around a lot! In 1988, we settled in the south suburbs of Chicago for 10 years and that's where I spent most of my childhood. Midway through high school, my Dad's job transferred my family to Atlanta, Georgia. That move was tough, since we had roots in Illinois, but it turned out to be a great growth spurt in my maturity and exposure. I finished high school in Atlanta and in my senior year, yep, it happened again. My Dad's job transferred my family. lol! Seriously, we're not a military family. This time, to Miami, Florida, and different about all the other moves, I didn't go with them. Not permanently anyway. I spent some of the summer in Miami and then headed to Virginia to start college at Hampton University. It's true what they say, college is some of the best years of your life and they went by too fast! I made so many great memories and lifelong friends.

I started as a Marketing major and half way through my studies realized, it wasn't my passion. After some deep soul searching and help from my mom, I changed my major to Broadcast Journalism. Best decision I ever made! I've loved telling and writing stories since I was a little girl. Journalism stretched and challenged me and still does. Immediately after graduation, I moved to the only place I wanted to live after college: New York City. Although, I was in my dream city, I wouldn't get into my dream job for some years to come. In the midst of making it to my dream job, I met my dream man, who is now my husband. We started courting five days after we met, got engaged after six and half months, and wed after our one year engagement. We've been married for four years! Today, I work as a reporter at News 12 Westchester in Yonkers, New York. I love my job! Everyday is a new experience. I get a different assignment everyday, venture into the community to collect my elements and then tell a new story!

What has been one of the hardest trials to endure in your walk with Christ? How did you keep the faith and overcome?

Staying in hope that I would work in my dream job after years of hearing "no." That's been one of my hardest tests of faith. I kept pressing, but I also continued to seek God. He gave me the gift, the skill and the desire. I knew He would fulfill it when it was time. Quitting or giving up wasn't an option. I knew if I did, I would never see it come to pass.

What is your most rewarding experience that God has blessed you with as a journalist?

Telling stories of people who otherwise would go voiceless. At my station in Texas, I told the story of refugee students who were struggling to pass state exams. With minimal English, they were required to pass these tests. Most had come from war torn countries, and knew four and five languages, but needed a little more time to master English. The order was really unfair. Telling their story and having their state representatives support the plea for more flexible standards, was confirmation of the power of journalism and media. When used properly, it can help change people's lives positively.

What do you think is the most challenging thing for young ladies today? How can they overcome to be a truly set apart woman of God?

Knowing their value. There are so many conflicting messages coming from all directions telling young women that they should look and think like the images on tv and social media. Women must find their value in the eternal, in God's love. It's sounds cliche, but all of this that we can see is really temporary. It won't last. God is everlasting and when we seek Him, we find ourselves.

Tell us  about your web show "The Positive Controversy." I watched it and loved it!

Thanks for watching! I love it too! :) When I was preparing to move back to New York, after spending a year in Texas reporting, God told me to create a webshow. So in January 2014, I shot my first episode about diversity in fashion. It was supposed to only be a pilot episode, but it ended up becoming a pilot series with six episodes! We debuted the series in April 2014 and wrapped in July. The show focuses on social and cultural issues that don't get enough exposure. I enjoy a good healthy debate that opens up dialogue about tough issues people want to talk about, but often times are afraid to bring up. We had some wonderful open doors and favor in our very first season including being an official selection at the New York Ocktober Film Festival and recently signing a distribution license agreement for a couple of our episodes to air on network tv! We're preparing to shoot our second season very soon!

You're also the founder of The King's Daughters. Tell us  about this organization and why it was placed on your heart to start it.

The King's Daughters is my heart. After a severe heartbreak with a guy I was dating, God laid it on my heart to be abstinent and date him only. I spent the next two years seeking God, allowing Him to heal my heart and reaffirm my value. My confidence was non-existent. I believed all of the mess this guy said to me. I allowed him to treat me less than my worth. I'm passionate about women knowing their value and not seeking it in the men or anywhere else but Him. That's when The King's Daughters was born. It started as a way to encourage women to save sex for marriage and has evolved into a place to find their value in Christ. If you know your value, you'll honor your temple.

Many young women feel pressured into ungodly relationships. As a married woman, what would you tell these ladies about the importance of waiting for the man God has for them?

The person you marry is probably the second most important decision you will ever make. The first, being a relationship with Jesus Christ. Every man I dated before my husband, even the "Christian" men had sex with me. My husband was the only one who agreed to abstinence before marriage. I had a standard and he honored and respected it and even raised my standards. The person you get in a relationship with will either lower your standards or help you raise them. It starts at the beginning. When you get into a relationship be intentional about where you're headed. Relationships should have purpose and ultimately line up with God's purpose for your life.

What has been the most important thing you've learned from marriage so far?

That's it's so much bigger than me. Your marriage refines you both. It has healing power for you and others. It creates generational legacy. It's the greatest partnership you could ever enter into outside of life with Christ. It's your first ministry!

I'm so excited to introduce this young lady that is not only a true woman of God but also my friend since middle school. She's Brittany Rudolph and she was born and raised in Atmore, Al. Growing up in Atmore, Brittany was involved in pageants and cheerleading. But most importantly she was a child in training of fully receiving God's word from her grandmother and parents. This is her story of evolving into the woman she is today and how she dealt with being a preacher's kid.

Tell readers about your background? How did you grow up?

I grew up in the House of God Church- Keith Dominion, Inc. I spent the majority of my early years with my grandmother who was an intercessory prayer warrior and saved for over 60 years. My mother is a licensed Prophetess. Holiness was always right in our household. My grandmother instilled in me, “Everything you do for God...Let it be real.”  During my early teenage years we joined Deliverance Ministries of Jesus Christ Inc. I was extremely active in the church. It was my life. At the time I was living with my God-Parents, whom would later adopt me. Dad is a Bishop and Mom is a First Lady and Evangelist. They both have Doctorate degrees in Divinity. I remember spending my weekends ministering and witnessing to individuals. I remember being at the church every evening after school doing something. Choir Rehearsal, Praise Dance, Praise Team, Bible Study was my extracurricular activities besides cheerleading. Church was all I knew. As you can see there was a seed and a mantle over my life from the anointing I was around my entire life. But the pressure of being a PK (Preacher’s Kid) was heavy.

How was your experience accepting Christ for the first time?

Christ has been my life since I was a child. I grew up during a time when you had to tarry for the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues. We would  spend a week seeking God on our face crying out to him. Then the church mothers would tell you, “Baby, you got it.” LOL! But as times progressed we have come to realize that we don’t have to do all of that to accept Jesus Christ into our hearts. It was just the way it was back then. It was what their parents taught them. When I left for college I had a mind to live right for Jesus and do what I was supposed to do as his servant and maintain my daily life at school. However, there was a different path I would be introduced to. I was introduced to sex, drugs, drinking, and partying within one month of school during my freshman year of college. I wasn’t exposed to this activity back home. I was always busy doing the Lord’s work. I never really desired to do anything that was not pleasing in his sight. I had my parents that believed that “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” You never really had a choice but to serve him. Also, I always took my parents reputation into consideration. I never wanted to bring harm to them and their ministry in any capacity.

But without my parental influence and guidance at school; I went wild. I was not thinking about living for God whole heartedly. I sang in the college choir and “attended” church on Sunday’s out of routine. But I was not in relationship with God. I got pregnant during my junior year of college. I was embarrassed and ashamed. I felt as if I had failed God and my family. I contemplated abortion. I decided not to go that route. I was at a low point in my life. But the word that was instilled in me over my entire life begin to minister to my broken spirit. I remember saying to God… “How dare I contemplate abortion when I made the choice to participate in sin.” I picked up my cross and begin to bear it. I went on and birthed my wonderful and anointed son, Christian Bernard. I didn’t cover my sin up. I took responsibility for my actions.

My parents and family was very supportive of my decision. They all allowed me to go back to college and finish my degree. After the birth of my son there was several spirits that tried to attack me. The spirit of depression, low self-esteem, and suicide. The devil tried to take me out because I decided to take a STAND. It was tough! But I made it. All of this led up to me dedicating my life back to the Lord. Jeremiah 3: 14 states, “Turn, O backsliding children,’ saith the Lord, ‘for I am married unto you; and I will take you, one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to Zion. I remember driving in Auburn, AL one Sunday morning and I was late for the normal church I had been attending. I got to services and church was over. I was upset because I needed to be in church. As I was driving home the Holy Spirit spoke to me and told me to look to my left and I did and there was a white church on top of the hill. I immediately pulled up to the church. I walked in and I’ve been attending since. God had to take me back to my roots and my foundation which is HOLINESS. I gave my life fully to Christ at this church. Church of God by Faith helped save my life. The members embraced me with love, support, and teaching. I decided from that day forward to live my life totally pleasing unto the LORD!  I serve in my local, district, and national body. God has brought me from a mighty long way!

What has been the toughest of your trials since accepting Christ?

The toughest trails have been dealing with the opinion of people. People always try to cast judgment on me because I have a son and I chose to be a single parent. Sure I want to be married one day but I want to be married to someone that not only love me unconditionally but my son as well.  I believe in being transparent in my ministry. I believe that my testimony will save another young lady  from making similar mistakes. I pray daily to God and ask him to deliver me from the opinion of men.

If you could tell a young lady struggling with school or relationships one thing concerning overcoming, what would that be?

I would first share my testimony. Then I would share with them two scriptures that got me through the rough times in school and in past relationships. Proverbs 18:21: Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof. You have the ability to speak life into any situation. The bible also states in Proverbs 23:7, “That as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.”  What you believe in your heart will be so. So think positive thoughts and speak positive things and it will come to pass.

How are you shining God's light for other young women to see?

I am very active in my church body on the local, district, and national level. I speak at different programs. I lead several programs. I am active in my local community as well. I am always in a setting in which I have the opportunity to minister. I love ministering to teenagers. Because I feel like I can catch them before they go too far. I also believe that how I carry myself is very important. I make sure that I’m always respectful of my elders, respectful to others, kind to everyone, and dress like a young lady should. I am very transparent about my past and try to share my testimony and God’s goodness as much as I can. Most importantly, I am a servant. I operate in the spirit of humility. Titles, fortune, or fame doesn’t matter to me because I am simply a servant first.

There's so much negativity that young women are seeing on television and via social media, allowing them to think its "ok" to follow the crowd. What would you tell these ladies about being a woman that's set apart in Christ instead?

I would let them know that God is the only person you should be concerned about following. LOL! In all seriousness, I would encourage them by letting them know that being set apart is an honor. I remember so many times in my life where I didn’t understand why I couldn’t be or have what others may have. But God was letting me know then I have called you out to be set apart and to be created in my image and likeness. It’s not about Brittany but it’s all about him. I look back to people that I went to school with over the span of my educational track and I see them doing the same thing they were doing back then. Trying to remain relevant but honestly time has passed them by. I said all of that to say that it’s ok to be different. Because I chose to be set apart I am successful today. I have a B.S. degree in History from one the top historically black colleges in the nation, I am close to finishing my Masters in Education, I work for the State of Alabama and most importantly I’m successful in ministry. I am at this place because I have a servant’s heart and I esteem others over myself and I give God my time (meditating, reading his word, & applying it to my life) and undivided attention.

What is your definition of the virtuous woman? What does she look like? And how have you molded yourself into that woman?

Virtuous is defined as having or showing high moral standards. A selfless woman. A woman of sacrifice. A giving woman. Love, grace, and humility are her  garments. She’s a beautiful woman on the inside because she carry all of these traits and it shines through her which in turn make her outside appearance beauty. She knows the fear of the Lord rises above all things.

I have molded myself into a virtuous woman in several ways. My faith is the number one thing that I uphold. I serve God with everything that I have. I give him my all. Being a good mother is the second area in which I am passionate about. I instill in my son the ways of the Lord. I see it in him as he is growing up. I believe in eating healthy as well and making sure that my son does as well. I am a humble servant. I believe in serving God, family, and friends. Putting myself last. I believe in giving my finances to up build the kingdom in any capacity and being mindful of how I spend. I make sure that I spend my time wisely. I’m not married yet as she was but during my time of singleness I devote myself to the Lord. I am married to the Lord. I treat him as I would an earthly husband. Lastly, I know my worth and I know that I am beautiful on the inside and it shines through on the outside.
