Are You a God-Digger? Or a Woman After God's Own Heart?

We, as a culture, are quick to bash gold-diggers.
Why? Because of who they are and what they represent. Greediness. Heartbreaks. Selfishness. We can bash their behavior, yet so many of us turn right around and become GOD-DIGGERS. We don't really love His heart, we love His hand. We ask What can God give me today? Having salvation, is having a personal relationship with Jesus.

That same gold-digger doesn't want an emotional relationship, they just want material gain. What about us Christians? Do we want that emotional freedom and loving relationship or just the financial breakthrough or the new car? Hear me out, These things aren't BAD or WRONG, but they can't be the MAIN focus of why we seek Him.

When we drop the "L" out of gold it becomes God. That L=love. When we lose sight of our first love we can become God diggers. Our focus isn't on pleasing Him it's solely turns into Him pleasing us and Him blessing us, and then we adopt a gimme gimme gimme spirit.

I don't want to live like that. I wouldn't want an earthly relationship like that so why would I want a spiritual relationship of the same caliber? I want Him.

My heart cries out for Him because my imperfect self needs a perfect, loving Savior.

Our Savior has feelings. He feels pain and sorrow. He is Big and Mighty. His love for us can not be measured. How vast is His love for us? If, even that concept we can not comprehend then how can we comprehend His pain when we deliberately bruise His heart for our selfish gain? Yet, He still loves us.

When we experience His love and grace, we should want to share it with others, capture it and cherish it. He's the greatest love we will ever know. He freely gives, so stop being demanding. My heart's cry is Lord I need more of Him. Just Him and that's all."
